R&D Scientist

As a consultancy company specialized in Life Sciences, Infrastructure and IT we are looking for new consultants to join our team of experts. At the moment for example, we are looking for a R&D scientist to consult one of out clients.

• Design and building of breadboard and proof-of-concept lab setups combining electronics, mechanics, software (Labview), thermal design, optics, micro-fluidics.
• Testing of the self-developed concepts as well as concepts suggested / created by other parties including creation of the required test plans protocols.
• Analyzing the newly created concepts and define, together with the team, which steps to take next.
• Assisting in formal verification testing of the product prototypes, analyzing and reporting on the results.

• You have a master or PhD in (bio-) engineering, biotechnology, physics or similar.
• You combine strong analytical skills with a very hands-on mentality.
• You can tick-off several of the following boxes (in order of importance). Experience with: (Quantitative) Polymerase Chain Reaction, Thermal design, Electronics in general, Labview, Micro-fluidics, Mechanics design, Optics
• You have a statistical mindset and know how to set statistical test criteria in place.
• Being knowledgeable of good practices in medical / in vitro diagnosis product development, including design controls is a strong plus.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and fluent in English
